Tony Sewell

Mr Tony Sewell 6th Dan, former 3 times unbeaten World Champion at Tae Kwon-Do, is considered by many martial artists to have been the best heavyweight fighter ever and probably the most exciting to watch. As well as being the World Champion, Tony holds numerous British and European titles and Team championship medals.

In his career, Tony has beaten the very best competitors from all styles of martial arts, not just Tae Kwon-Do. His most famous victories have been over the 5 times USA grand champion Steve "Nasty" Anderson; I.T.F & W.T.F. World Heavyweight Tae Kwon-Do champion Hank Meijer of Holland; Kung-Fu stylist Kevin Brewerton W.A.K.O World Champion and Steve Babbs, European Full Contact Champion.

With glories and honours amassed Tony decided he could go no further without repetition, and, much to the disappointment of his many legions of fans, he retired from active competition. But the sheer wealth of talent that is Tony Sewell could not be allowed to go to waste. His technical excellence and fighting prowess now lives on in the many youngsters that are his students.

Tony has trained and supported well over 50 Black Belts students and has been coach to numerous British Champions who are from his Tae Kwon-Do Schools in Derby, Nottingham, Chilwell Olympia and Nottingham University, one of whom went on to be the World Champion at aged 18!

Under Tony and his team’s tuition, you can be sure that students will flourish and grow into confident, disciplined and healthy individuals developing their life and social skills.
